Energy sugar free

XTZ Chai Spice Energy drink and Energy sugar free drink by Vimgo

Tastes like Christmas….seriously…All I can think about is walking into those little arts and crafts stores around Christmas time and getting a big huge burst of potpourri right in the nose.  The flavor of this stuff is almost overwhelming… nothing subdued about it at all.  The cinnamon is extremely powerful…it’s almost like drinking cinnamon Altoids with a little bit of something else mixed in.  You really can’t make out the other ingredients in Chai Spice because of the amount of cinnamon flavor there is….it almost completely hides everything else.  This is really not what I want in an energy drink…hell, this is not something I’d want in ANY drink.  Maybe you could use it to flavor something else, but unless you used half the bottle you wouldn’t get any of the energy benefits from it at all, so you’d be better off just using real spices for something like that…This is one I just can’t recommend.  I’m sure there are a few folks out there who might enjoy it, but if you share the same preferences as I do, you’d get more enjoyment out of throwing the bottles in the air and shooting them with a shotgun than you would drinking this stuff.  (Although truth be known, that’s actually a lot of fun) The first of the XTZ line that I just totally despise…..Avoid, avoid, avoid……

On a side note, this stuff is stronger than the rest of the XTZ drinks….not that you’ll be able to finish a bottle.  My tongue hates me

Amp was one of the first Energy sugar free drinks I started drinking on a regular basis.  It quickly replaced Red Bull as my standard 8oz can, and was then later replaced by Sobe Adrenaline Rush as my first choice for a small drink.  Overall, Amp is a pretty decent beverage with a slightly above average kick of energy.  The flavor of Amp is kind of a lime/citrus with a little something extra in the mix.  There is a mild slightly bitter aftertaste that really is not overly noticeable or offensive.  To this day I’m kind of torn when it comes to drinking Amp.  It’s a nice change from the other drinks out there because nothing else really has a similar flavor, but at the same time I have sort of been spoiled by so many of the other products on the market.  Basically the stuff out there has just gotten better and sort of raised the bar for me in the taste and flavor departments.  I do still enjoy drinking Amp, but most of the time I prefer to spend my dollars on either something new, or something I enjoy more.  Still, Amp does work quite well as a pick me up.  It is definitely stronger then most of the stuff you get in 8oz cans making it great for a pre sports drink, or a late night party mixer.  Amp can be mixed really well with MANY types of alcohol, and you can even mix it in with your margaritas for a really kick ass effect.
